Lucent Technologies Avaya Wireless USB Client provides high-speed (11 Mbit/s) wireless Internet Access and networking for USB equipped desktops. No need to open the desktop to install a wireless ISA/PCI card and no worries about device conflicts. Installation is accomplished simply by plugging the USB Client into a spare USB connector and installing the software on a desktop PC or notebook. The USB Client transmits and receives wireless data via an integral 11 Mbps Avaya Wireless radio and transmits the signals to the desktop PC via the USB connector. The USB Client is cost-effective for many applications since it doesn't require additional wiring and it's Plug-and-Play USB installation eliminates the need to open the client PC for ISA/PCI card installation.

The Gold version provides enhanced security with a 128-bit key, using RC4 encryption.
